Use common sense. I realize that different standards of "Common sense" exist, but try to get on the same wavelength here with me so these rules won't seem arbitrarily stifling or anything.
No hentai, porn, ecchi, yaoi, or any other stuff like that. And by "Stuff", I'll first warn, then second, ban people for unfit material.
No swearing. I mean, not even the, quote unquote, "Lesser ones". Also, don't take the Lord's name in vain.
No flaming. As it is with video games, politics, religion, etc. there are some strong opinions among people involved in them. If you disagree with someone, insulting them does not make anything better, and you will be banned.
No excessive advertising. I don't mind your plugging things "Tales of..." related every now and then, it is a "Tales of..." message board after all, and we're trying to get and share all the info we can! But, this isn't an invitation to spam the boards with advertising.
No
ROM/Emulator stuff. I don't want a Warez/ROMs trading post, so no supplying links to ROMs, ISOs, Warez, Pirated Movies etc. etc.
No posting in all caps. This is annoying, and connotates certain negative attitudes.
Use good grammar. This isn't a super-serious, "You will be banned and shunned forever if you don't type right!" rule, but please at least try to utilize grammar here. Spaces after punctuation, capitalize correctly, etc. Bad spelling is understandable. Internet lingo such as "bbl, ttyl, lol" etc., and l33t are allowed, as well. I just want intelligent and understandable posting, is all.
Do not make random posts just to get your post count up. I don't mind if you want to get your post count high, but there are some messages that are completely pointles, totally off the wall, and should not be posted.
Mind the moderator(s). If a moderator/administrator warns you about your posting habits, excessively large avatar size, excessively large signature-image size, or whatever else, heed their advice. I hate to sound all parenty by saying, "Mind your authority figures~", but, eh, what can ya do....Just don't be a jerk.
